Mass Registration Suspended For Now

We are very pleased to see all of you who have “come back” to Mass at St. Michael the Archangel in South Glens Falls, and who have made our transition an easier one. Thank you all for your understanding.

Thanks, too, for all of your input, and for the help of New York and the Albany Roman Catholic Diocese, as we work to ensure we can celebrate Mass and still provide a safe and healthy environment!

We have been back six weeks, and have been seeing some new faces each week!

With six weeks of experience in using the new safety protocols, we find that there are some redundancies in the process and are eliminating them to make things even smoother.

Since returning, we have not yet come near the current “maximum seated occupancy” of 73 people. Because of that, we are suspending the need to pre-register online for the time being. When attendance starts to increase in the future, we may have to reinstate the sign-up registration process to ensure we aren’t over maximum capacity.

We have also revised the process for checking in when you arrive at Mass. Instead of printing and filling the Mass check-in/health certificate form, there will be an usher at the door asking for your name and phone number in case there is a need for contact tracing. We ask that you review the health questions before coming to Church, and if you answer “yes” to any of them that you join us virtually that week.

We plan to continue to stream weekly Masses on our YouTube channel here:

Please understand that we are working very hard to keep parishioners safe and healthy, and that this is a work in progress; there are bound to be some bumps in the road.

If everyone is patient and exercises lots of Christian love, we’ll be fine! If you have any questions, call the rectory at 518-792-5859.
